Raccoons are easily identified by their distinctive tail and face markings. They are a nocturnal species, but often spotted at freshwater springs by divers. They usually sleep by day and hunt at night, they eat frogs, crayfish and bird eggs.

Raccoons are widespread all around America, but Floridian raccoons seem to be smaller than their counterparts. Occasionally, albino raccoons are born, all white!
