Smile New Marine Aquarium at Dayo Scuba

There is now a 100 gallon MARINE aquarium in the Dayo Scuba Dive Store!

It arrived as an early Christmas present (from Santa), and took a few weeks to get set up properly with sea sand, live rock and correct water chemical/ph balance.

Setting up new aquarium, everyone pitched in, even Riley

We put some small damselfish in it first, to kick start the nitrogen cycle, and then added more rocks and little critters.....

    New critters for the aquarium

When everything was right, we started to add some fish. Tyler, Melissa and Irish Bob headed off to West Palm Beach to catch some fish. Easier said than done, but after lots of group effort, 3+ hours under the water, and several wrestling and upgrades to the slurpy guns, they managed to get some critters to bring home

    Anemone and Cleaner Shrimp

Pencil urchin, and his buddy the hermit crab

Mushroom Cups, a type of soft coral
This little critter is COOL.....if they are split, each part grows into a new mushroom coral....they are dividing like crazy in the few weeks we have them, and cover lots of shells and rocks now.

We plan to add more to the aquarium over the next few weeks...Drop by and check it out, it looks really good!

    What, no sharks?
When I die, pull my cold wet dive light from my hand.
