Kevin and Courtneys Wedding

Yesterday (Saturday 13th December 2008), we were privileged to attend the wedding of our good friends and fellow divers, Kevin (http://www.scubadiver.cc/forums/member.php?u=6) and Courtney (http://www.scubadiver.cc/forums/member.php?u=19) in Oviedo.

The day started earlier for me than most of the other guests, as I was a bridesmaid (my first time ever, and a complete honor), and we prepared in the Methodist Church in Oviedo from three pm onwards. The photographer arrived at 330pm, and the photos officially began. The ceremony began at four, and the church was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Courtney was the most beautiful bride I have ever seen, and Kevin scrubbed up quite well also :)

The ceremony was full of happy friends and family, and was very emotional, but ran smoothly. Afterwards we took more photos, and met the rest of the wedding party at the Canterbury Retreat. The bridal party had a fabulous introduction there, and and we toasted to the happy couple and the best man’s and maid of honor's speeches.

We settled into a slide-show of pictures of Kevin and Courtney’s life, every thing from baby photos to their recent diving adventures. Dinner was served and it was delicious, with a choice of main course and seconds for all :)

We all got on the dance floor after eating (even TJ!!), and we partied and danced the night away afterwards. At the end of the evening, the bride and groom left in a haze of bubbles (and a “newly decorated” car!).

Congratulations again to Kevin and Courtney Redfield, and best wishes for a long happy married life together. They are departing Florida on Friday for their honeymoon (a cruise), so we expect to see lots more photos guys!!!

First let me say congratulation to Kevin and Cortney. You guys are great and I wish you all the happiness. Now Denise those are nice pictures but where is one of TJ in a suit. And I mean the tie and jacket kind.

Thank you very much Denise, we were honored to have you and TJ be a part of our big day. From the pictures it looks like they killed our cake topper. At one point the tanks were actually on the backs of the people...they must have gone through some major no mount restrictions.

We had a great time and are very thankful for all the friends and family that came to celebrate the occasion with us. We are looking forward to the cruise and after the new year when everything hopefully will start to settle down a bit.

Thank you TJ, Peter, Tony, and Fed for your kind words. We are looking forward to seeing you all back in the water soon. Maybe New Years Eve?

As an X army officer and X CEO of a computer company, I can assure you I can wear a suite and don a tie.... I've got a hundred to choose from too... :icon_smile:

I like you have a closet of suits and ties. Pam has ordered me to try them on before Evan's wedding to make sure they fit. I still think it is great not having to put one on every day.

I think we should make the CDF social New Years formal. Suit and ties under dry suits. Maybe even a Tux. Very James Bond.
