If you can push it back to Sunday Gaby and I would be in, we were planning on diving this Sunday somewhere, possibly camping Saturday night. Gaby doesn't get in from D.C. until Saturday afternoon so I cant go Sat :(

I trained some Ow guys this week, and they were very good, and are very eager to get out and start diving ASAP, one of them is Stevenking (http://www.scubadiver.cc/forums/member.php?u=250) on the Forum, and the other is jayy3240 (http://www.scubadiver.cc/forums/member.php?u=254)...they would love to do some diving like this. I will let them know your plans and to contact you guys.......

That time works for Gaby and I as well.
Car pool?

Denise - you may give my cell number to any of your new OW graduates so they can get a hold of us to come with on Sunday. I would love the opportunity to help coach some new divers :)

We ended up deciding not to camp. Her plane arrives in the afternoon and she wants to relax. So will be driving up to troy/peacock in the morning Sunday.

You are more than welcome to borrow our tent if you would like. It sleeps 3 comfortably and 4 cramped a little. Its an OLLLLLD tent from like 1970's but it works great, if you figure out how to correctly put it together without instructions :) took Gaby and myself over 2 hours the first time we used it (it was a hand me down from my dad).

I have a very nice air mattress if you need to borrow that. It comes with a pump that is electric so I can also lend you a dc-ac inverter.

I too have a nice little tent. Sleeps two comfortably, I think its 7' x 6' (or something close to that) and sets up in about 2 minutes. Just big enough for a double size air mattress to fill up the bottom.

Feel free to drop by and grab it if you need it.

I have camped before. I was in middle school and my friend wanted me to come along on her family camping trip. It was for like 4 days. I think I can handle overnight, I hope...

Bring lots of warm clothes, blankets, and a warm sleeping bag. It gets surprisingly cold at night away from the city.

Yeah we underestimated the weather on our first trip, it got down into the 40's in the middle of the night and we just had a sleeping bag, that made for quite the adventure! Won't make that mistake again!

I stopped by the shop today to pick up a few things and told Peter about our planned trip to Troy/Peacock he's interested in going, make sure you bug him about it so he joins us

I have a 12 person tent out back. Denise won't camp anymore so its up for lending if anyone wants to borrow it. There are 4 rooms in it but not too hard to put up. We used it three times.... once at Ginnie Springs, and twice in the Keys. Its hard to heat... since there is a fly over a netted top... but if not windy or too cold, it can be...

Get electric hookup and take an electric heater.. just don't burn yourself up.

Air mattress a must..

Electric? Heater? Air mattress? That's not camping! :eusa_naughty:

No clue what that means but we aren't going to chance it.

Gaby and I are going to pass on Troy.
We will be heading up to Paradise Springs instead.
I can practice with my new fins there to avoid silting. And its big enough so I can do some reel practice too.
Anyone is welcome to come with we are leaving orlando at 8:00 a.m. which should put us at Paradise around 9:30 - 10:00 a.m.
Call my cell if you want to meet up 407.470.8099

Peacock was a bust. My dive computer broke again and there was a class of about 10 people getting out of the water as we got it. so vis was not as great as ive seen it my last 2 times.

Cool pics try and shoot some video next time too! Sorry to hear your weekend didn't go that great and about your dive computer :(

I guess you'll have to buy from Dayo instead of Scubatoys from now on :icon_lol:

sorry I couldn't resist the shameless and easy plug for Dayo in light of our last conversation at the shop :) no hard feelings ;)
