Hey everyone,
As promised here is my dive report for Ginnie and Troy springs. I dove both of them this weekend.

I went to Ginnie on Saturday. Visibility was great much more clear than when I dove there after tropical storm Fay. The only part that had bad visibility was the Santa Fe river. We dove all three devil's springs and the ballroom.

I went to Troy springs yesterday. Interestingly enough my buddy and I were the only people there. We had the whole spring to ourselves. We snorkeled around the entire spring first. Visibility was pretty poor, there was a lot of particulate in the water. We dove the spring and explored its deepest points. Water was cold! My computer registered the temp at 69 degrees. We did about a 40 minute dive before we came up. Didn't see almost any fish at Troy. I wasn't all that impressed with Troy springs but it was still fun.

I'm all ready to dive again this weekend, I see that Dayo is doing some OW/AOW dives this weekend. Where are they going to be at?

P.S. my sister had her baby this morning at 3:00a.m. so I am dead tired. A full day of diving and then the drive home to Orlando, then to the hospital! yikes! :)

Is it a girl or a boy?

This must be the season for babies....Omar became a dad (again) last week too!!

Troy usually has poorer visibility than the other springs, did you see the old (very old) shipwreck out by the river? its usually hidden in very tannic water.....

We are doing OW and AOW classes this weekend. Sat will be Alexander Springs or Devils Den....not confirmed yet whether we can get into Alexander.
Sunday will be Blue Springs, we have only a few more weeks there before they close it up for manatee season......

You are more than welcome to join us for some diving, or get started on that AOW

There's usually baby catfish up under the ledge and towards the side near the stairs, but with no lights allowed now, it kind of takes away your ability to see that area of the spring.

Ginnie is my favorite spring in the area, I've gotten my money back on my Ginnie pass easily.

Yeppers,
I like Ginnie also. I should have purchased that pass -- :) Would have already paid for itself long time ago.:sport24_diver:

Just wish it was a little closer to Orlando!!!
