Looking to do the MV Caster.
Boynton Beach area.
Caster sits in Approx 115 fsw.
Here's the plan I was thinking,
Decompression model: VPM - B
DIVE PLAN
Surface interval = 5 day 0 hr 0 min.
Elevation = 0ft
Conservatism = + 2
Dec to 115ft (2) Nitrox 32 50ft/min descent.
Level 115ft 37:42 (40) Nitrox 32 1.43 ppO2, 94ft ead
Asc to 30ft (42) Nitrox 32 -30ft/min ascent.
Stop at 30ft 2:10 (45) Nitrox 32 0.61 ppO2, 21ft ead
Stop at 20ft 3:00 (48) Oxygen 1.60 ppO2, 0ft ead
Stop at 10ft 6:00 (54) Oxygen 1.30 ppO2, 0ft ead
Surface (54) Oxygen -30ft/min ascent.
Off gassing starts at 67.4ft
OTU's this dive: 84
CNS Total: 37.9%
132.2 cu ft Nitrox 32
7.5 cu ft Oxygen
139.7 cu ft TOTAL
40 Mins bottom time on 32%, then switching to 100% O/2 at 20 fsw.
Good plan, or any better ideas for max time on bottom ??
Thanks
Tommy
PS-- seeing how TJ thinks we're old now... I set the Conservatism = + 2 instead of the default of 1-- pffft
Change it to 35 minutes, max depth 105, and O2 deco

Made the change-
Here's what we got now
DIVE PLAN

Elevation = 0ft
Conservatism = + 2
Dec to 105ft (2) Nitrox 32 50ft/min descent.
Level 105ft 27:54 (30) Nitrox 32 1.34 ppO2, 86ft ead
Asc to 20ft (32) Nitrox 32 -30ft/min ascent.
Stop at 20ft 0:10 (33) Oxygen 1.60 ppO2, 0ft ead
Stop at 10ft 3:00 (36) Oxygen 1.30 ppO2, 0ft ead
Surface (36) Oxygen -30ft/min ascent.

PS==
on Vplaner, how do I get it to do the +/- columns for the backup plans??

Your 120 would would work fine even if we had a fill whip to transfer gas.:eek:
Boat leaves dock at 9a.m. so it will be early... around 5+

What is the second dive going to be.
It's normally a reef 60 ft or so. :)
Okay, its official... the dive will be on Wednesday the 16th. If we get too many divers, we'll go out on Craig's boat (Larry driving), else Larry's smaller and faster boat if 7 or less of us. So far there are 6 of us.
Meet Larry at dock at or a bit before 9a.m.. Not sure which dock, until next Tuesday.. Larry's dock is just down the road from Craig's though.

What boat are you going to use?
Most likely we'll be on Larry's boat... I don't know it's name. Craig's boat's name is the Star Fish. Larry's is 'new'.... His last one burned up a year ago... it was too close to a boat docked beside his that caught on fire and spread... :eek: His new one is okay... faster than Craig's. We used him to dive the SkyCliff a few months ago, and many times before that on his other boat... and he stands in for Craig now and then. He knows his wrecks and dive sites. He is a 'character'... not in a good way. ;)
Check your email... I can't read your lastname spelling on a form you filled in...
Thanks,
tj

on it. also some requested pics
Here is another plan... You should all verify and we'll use this one or one just like it... (depending on your deco planner) for Dive #1. Dive #2, if we do one, is below that. Note the required nitrox... The last time we did this, three of the divers way overused there projected gas on the 1st dive, so there was no 2nd dive... O2 on 2nd dive is optional.

Showing 38 mins total dive time.
Bottom time of 30 mins -??
Did plan change from 40-45 mins on bottom?
(is the 2nd dive the Cptn Tony wreck or reef) ??
Also,
We got Ron, Mike, + friend of theirs (name who I forget at the moment).
We don't have the gas (with reserve) to do much longer... If you all want to stay longer, the chances for a 2nd dive go down... What do the others say?
Bring your notebook on board the boat, and we'll make a 2nd dive plan on the fly... :)

You can tech dive or not. We hope to do 2 dives, the Castor then another wreck or reef (air allowing).
Boat leaves dock at 9a.m.
I am leaving at 5a.m.
Directions to Boat: http://www.idivestarfish.com/starfish_dive_boat_directions.htm
Carpool if you can!
Highly recommend nitrox for use.
Cost is $65 plus divemaster tip (Linda is going to be there)
Drop off gear by boat, but park 2 doors over at public landing. Its a VERY short walk.
Our cellphones are 321-287-8808 (Denise) or 321-663-0203 (mine).

Nice smooth waters, great vis, etc etc..
If I was going to do 6-8 feet, Might as well go do the Speigle Grove lololo
Yeah... I was hoping it was a misprint, but 12 hours later.. and its the same....
:(
Just in case we cancel this week, anyone up for just rescheduling for next Wednesday?

Probably the best decision. Now Sharon is really happy. I'm listening to her as I write this: "Hurry we can get 4-5 pallets (sod) layed before noon if we hurry. :(

Obviously, but anything apart from the ocean tomorrow!! :(
Tj and his student have gone to the Eagles nest this morning guys, (a very last minute thing, I would have got out of bed for that!), if conditions are good he plans on diving that again tomorrow, he will let me know in a few hours and we can decide then?
Else Manatee again sounds good?
Dinny
PS Adam, sounds like you are working WAY too hard!!!

Conditions at the nest today were very, very good.
The basin was clear, as was the cavern. I scootered around the cavern, it was clear (50-60 foot viz) and 74 degrees all the way down. Pics to follow......
We plan on doing the same dives again tomorrow (Friday)

I had a short dive at Manatee to day. The vis was fairly good and the flow was fairly strong you could Kick and glide a little and of course the flow was a little stronger as it exit the system. It was really cool looking up from the bottom at the duck weed completely covering the water as there was no onto disturb it except at the entry point. When it was disturbed and the sun came through it was beautiful. ;)

The pay off is worth it Dinny. However after 2 days of "throwing" sod every bone in this old body hurts! Hey, the tip of my nose hurts. I've got more ant bites than the moon has crators. But "ranchwise" the pay off will be a good one. Good thing we don't pay for water!! Speaking of water... Is TJ rescheduling a wreck dive?:) I've earned it!:D
