SDI Solo Instructor

Pre-requisites Certifications for SDI Solo Instructor:

* Minimum age of 21 years old

* One years active teaching experience with a nationally recognized agency.

* Show proof of at least 50 certifications.

Required Equipment for SDI Solo Instructors:

* SDI Standards and Procedures Manual

* SDI Solo Diver Instructor Guide

* SDI Solo Diver IQ Review

* SDI Solo Student manual and workbook

* SDI Solo Diver planning slate

Number of dives associated with the course:
There are no dives required for this course

Skill Performance Requirements:

* Candidates must attend a workshop at Dayo Scuba in order to fulfill the requirements for the SDI Solo Instructor course. After this is completed, and the appropriate fee paid to SDI, the Instructor may apply to upgrade in their rating with SDI.

* They must satisfactorily complete the SDI Solo written examination and be able to adequately explain each answer to a prospective student.

* They must satisfactorily complete the SDI Solo Instructor written examination.

* Demonstrate proficiency in teaching the SDI Solo course.

* Demonstrate mature, sound judgment concerning training and execution.

Cost:
* Basic course cost is $199 per student.

* As this is a professional course, you are expected to buy your own academic materials and required equipment, as listed above.

* The Instructor Upgrade with SDI is $40.
