Manatee Gauntlet

That last tech class we had turned into some kind of Manatee Gauntlet on our way out of Blue Spring Volusia. They were everywhere. We counted at least 30. These pictures were taken on the 20th of October 2009.

I dove there on the 30th and not a Manatee in sight. They must communicate between themselves otherwise how do you explain a sudden appearance of 30?!!
Did the park rangers FREAK when divers were mixed in with the Cows?
Park offically closes November 15th to divers and swimmers this year.
