Hello, any lakes with a beach, where I can dive and my wife can sun herself?
I wanted to go up route 27
I'm in Englewood, Florida and will be going via rt 17 to Arcadia on up 27 as far as is necessary. I'd like to stop at 3 or 4 spots, if there are that many with a little sand beach for her???

Lake weir is in Ocala, I really want to explore that place. We go skiing there, and it appears to be spring fed.

I'd really like to plan a trip up there, but i'd want to visit a few spots while there.
The important part is that there is a little sand beach for my wife-or she won't let me go!!!

its a bit out of your way, but Alexander Springs is the perfect place.... sand and water... you can snorkel or dive

After you posted, I researched Florida springs. There are quite a few! :sport24_diver:

Yeah, that's my understanding. There's two county parks, one has a beach, and the other has a boat ramp. I feel pretty confident there's nothing much to see near the one with the boat ramp, it feels warmer than the rest of the lake, so I'm guessing the springs are elsewhere in that lake.
