Normoxic Trimix Training in Forty Fathoms for Mike Bartlett, Chris and Bob

Hey guys,

You will need to plan your dives for this weekend......On Saturday we will do 2 dives, the first to 160' and the second to 180'. You want an EAD of 80-90 feet, so you need to plan your "best mix" for blending and planning purposes. You will do these dives on one set of doubles, with appropriate deco gasses, ie an aluminum 80 of Nitrox and enough O2. Arrange the plans (timewise) so you have adequate gas for your two dives, and bailout/emergencies.

We all need to agree on the plan, so post your suggestions, or email each other to figure out whats going to work best.

Hey All,
Tommy B will also be joining us so we can have 2 buddy teams. I haven't met Chris or Bob yet so we will have to spend a few minutes familiarizing ourselves with each others gear config. We'll start both dives the same way, with bubble checks and an S drill. These will be my first dives at Forty Fathoms so I am not sure about line protocol. I'm sure TJ or Denise can help us out there. On both dives we will shoot lift bags.

I have planned our dives conservatively (V-Planner) using a SAC rate of .8 at depth and .6 for deco. Please make sure that these rates are appropriate for everyone.

I have planned our dives using 21/33 trimix for travel and depth and decompression using EAN32 and 100% O2. Allowing ourselves a 50% contingency for all mixes we will need at least 220 ft3 of 21/33, 45 ft3 of EAN32, and 20 ft3 of O2.
